Orchestra Teachers, join us for the annual reading session of new string orchestra literature on September 18, 2021. The repertoire list of more than 30 new titles ranges from the beginning level to advanced level. Bring the stringed instrument of your choice and let’s make music together as we play through the selection for this year’s reading session. Besides a time to hear/play the new music, this is an opportunity to network and socialize with orchestra teacher in the area. During the reading session, we usually give each other feedback, programing ideas, and skill development on each piece.
This event is FREE and open to all orchestra teachers, student teachers and college students. Please bring a string instrument to participate in the reading session. If you are teaching orchestra but do not feel proficient enough to play your instrument, please consider participating through listening and joining the discussion.
