The workshop will start at 9:00 am and end with a short informance at 2:00 pm in the Troy Athens High School Auditorium.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>As always, teachers are welcome to come and observe (observation fee $15.00).</b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:black"><b>Our special guest this year is Alex Hanna, Principal Bassist of the Detroit Symphony.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Alex was named Principal Bassist after a search that included many outstanding bassist from all over the United States and Europe.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He has performed throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>His exceptional artistry and ensemble skills make him one of the outstanding young bassist today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>In addition to being one of our clinicians at the workshop this year, Alex will perform and talk about how he developed his career and what its like to be a young player in the Detroit Symphony.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="color:black"><b>Beside Alex and myself, our other clinician will be John Kennedy. John is a string teacher in the Farmington Public Schools and was formerly the Assistant Principal Bassist of the Honolulu Symphony.
