The workshop will start at 9:00 am and end with a short informance at 2:00 pm in the Troy High School Auditorium.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>As always, teachers are welcome to come and observe (observation fee $15.00).<o:p></o:p></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="color:black"><b> <o:p></o:p></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="color:black"><b>Joining me as clinicians for the workshop this year will be John Kennedy and Derek Weller.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>John is a string teacher in the Farmington Public Schools and was formerly the Assistant Principal Bassist of the Honolulu Symphony. He has been nationally recognized for his work with young bassists.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He is a clinician at the Richard Davis Bass Workshop at the University of Wisconsin and the Bay Area Bass Workshop in San Francisco, and is the President Elect for the International Society of Bassists. <o:p></o:p></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style=""><span style="color:black"><b> <o:p></o:p></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination:none;mso-layout-grid-align:none; text-autospace:none"><b>Derek Weller is Principal bassist of the Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra, Professor of Bass at Eastern Michigan University and the Interlochen Arts Academy, bassist with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Carmel California Bach Festival.
