has directed the Tecumseh School Orchestra (TSO) Program since 2004,

which currently has 350 students in grades five through twelve.  In

November 2010, she founded the Tecumseh Fiddlers, a performance

ensemble from Tecumseh High School who regularly performs in the

Tecumseh community and was featured at the 2011 Saline Celtic

Festival.  In addition to teaching the TSO program, Amy maintains a

private violin, viola, cello, and bass studio in Tecumseh and is

earning her Master’s Degree in Music Education from her Alma mater,

Eastern Michigan University.  Amy is the concert-mistress of the

Tecumseh Pops Orchestra, a member of the violin section of the Adrian

Symphony Orchestra, and frequently featured in pit orchestras and

on-stage fiddle bands at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts and the

Croswell Opera House.  Amy is currently finishing her term as the

National Chair of the Eclectic Strings Committee for the ASTA, the

National Chair of the ASTA Eclectic Strings Festival, and a member of

the ASTA National Conference Planning Committee. Previously, she

served a two-year term on each of the following National ASTA

committees as well:  the Committee for School Orchestras and Strings

and the Potter Violin Awards Committee. She also serves as the Chair

of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s Alternative

Styles Day and is the MSBOA District VIII Vice-President for

Orchestral Activities.  Amy was a member of the MASTA String Camp

Staff for 10 years, including 5 years as the Assistant Director of

Sessions I and II.  Amy has presented sessions on starting new string

programs, recruiting, motivation, and alternative-styles/eclectic

strings music at each of the ASTA National Conferences since 2006, as

well as the 2009 – 2012 Michigan Music Conferences.  </font></font></font>

is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of

Michigan, from which he earned his Bachelor of Music with a String

Specialist endorsement.  He has completed graduate studies at Grand

Valley State University, Central Michigan University, and VanderCook

College of Music.  In 2011, Mr. Staudacher retired from the Mona

Shores Public School District where he taught instrumental music and

served as the performing arts department chair.  He has been a

faculty member of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts

Camp as well as served as the international conductor for the Czech

Music Youth Camp in the Czech Republic.  Mr.  Staudacher plays double

bass and has been a member of the Grand Rapids Symphony, the West

Shore Symphony, and many regional orchestras.  He has been an active

member of MSBOA serving in several district executive board positions

and on the state string committee.  He is also currently the

membership chairman of the Michigan American String Teachers

Association.  Under Mr. Staudacher, the Mona Shores Orchestras have

been featured performers in the Michigan Music Conference in 2000 and

2008.  Mr. Staudacher established international performance tours

with his high school group, traveling to China in 2005, and in 2008

to Ireland and England.  In 2011 Mr. Staudacher was awarded the MSBOA

Orchestra Teacher of the Year.  In January 2012 he served as the

Middle School All State Orchestra conductor at the Michigan Music

Conference in Grand Rapids.</font></font></div>

currently works as a private studio teacher, free-lance double

bassist and clinician.  Tim has been married to his wife Jeri for 34

degrees - a student of Lyman Bodman. After 31 wonderful years of

directing orchestras at Waverly Community Schools, Lansing Public

Schools and Midland Public Schools she is working part time for the

Marshall Music Company as an orchestral consultant traveling to

schools around the state as a clinician and advisor to orchestra

directors and their students. Karen conducted orchestras at Blue Lake

Fine Arts Camp for fifteen years. Karen has served MSBOA in many

offices including a term as Chairperson for the Youth Arts Festival.

She was MSBOA Orchestra Teacher of the Year in 1991. Karen has served

MASTA as Secretary and Treasurer. Midland Public Schools honored her

with the Gerstacker Award for Teaching Excellence in 2004. She

continues her work with adjudication around the state, conducts

handbells at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, Michigan and is

working with ACT Uganda, a non profit organization helping the

village of Muko, Uganda survive and prosper. Karen enjoys travel with

her husband, Dave, and together they enjoy their five children and

five grandchildren.</font></font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial Unicode MS, sans-serif"><font size="3">

Nebraska, began her teaching career in Detroit.  For the past

seventeen years, she has worked for the Farmington Public Schools and

currently teaches orchestra at East Middle School. Tracey plays the

viola in the Michigan Philharmonic, the Birmingham-Bloomfield

Symphony Orchestra, and the Rochester Symphony.  She also performs as

a freelance musician throughout the Metro-Detroit area. Tracey and

her husband, Ray, have three children and they welcomed their second

grandchild in November.  In addition to being a member of MASTA,

Tracey is a member of the National Association of Music Educators and

the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association.  She has served

MSBOA by hosting Middle Level String Clinics and serving on the MSBOA

Music Selection Committee.  She would be honored to serve on the

has held school posts in New York, Michigan, Indiana, Hawaii, and

London, UK and college posts in Hawaii and Ohio. Summer teaching at

the Interlochen Arts Camp spanned 35 years.  He has done numerous

clinics and adjudications in Michigan, Hawaii and many major

in-service conferences. He served as an ASTA state officer, chair of

the String Committee of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra

Association, and president of the Hawaii state MENC chapter. He is

is in her 29th year of teaching.  She currently is the orchestra

director at Orchard Lake Middle School and West Bloomfield High

School.  In addition, she serves as the music and art department

chairperson at West Bloomfield High School.  Previously she taught

orchestra and band in the Detroit Public Schools. Linda also serves

as an adjunct professor of music at Marygrove College of Music. Linda

is currently the Membership Secretary for the Michigan chapter of the

American String Teachers Association. She has been very active in the

Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association as the secretary and

treasurer for the MSBOA state executive board and Vice President of

Orchestral Activities. She has also served her MSBOA district IV as

assistant Vice President to B&O, corresponding secretary and

secretary.  Linda has been active as an MSBOA string adjudicator, Mid

Level Orchestra conductor, and guest clinician.  Additionally, her

conducting posts have included Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, the Dearborn

Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Detroit Public Schools Honor’s

Orchestra.   </font></font><font color="#000000"><font face="Arial Unicode MS, sans-serif"><font size="3">As

a violinist, Linda is a member of the Warren Symphony and the Grosse

Pointe Symphony (Principal Second) Orchestras, and has been a member

of the Dearborn Symphony (Principal Second), Dearborn Festival

(Concertmaster), Detroit Symphony Civic (Concertmaster), and the

Windsor Symphony orchestras. She has been a soloist with the Dearborn

Symphony, Dearborn Festival Orchestra, Southfield Symphony, and

Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestras. Her recording credits include the

works of William Banfield, Richard Smallwood, and Fred Hammond. Linda

has played in back up orchestras for Harry Belefonte, Aretha

Franklin, Lori Morgan, Smokey Robinson, Barry White, and Stevie

Wonder to name a few.  Linda is a graduate from Michigan State

University with a Bachelor of Music in Education, and Marygrove

College with a Masters in the Art of Teaching.  She attended Adrian

College and took advanced courses at Wayne State University. Linda is

married to Thomas Trotter and they have one daughter, Lauren.</font></font></font></div>

current webmaster for the MASTA website, she is dedicated to the

mission of MASTA. She is currently the principal cellist of the

Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, and has performed recently with the

Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Windsor Symphony and Traverse Symphony

Orchestra. Past positions include: principal cellist, Flint

Symphony; principal cellist, Laredo Philharmonic, TX; assistant

professor, University of Texas at San Antonio; adjunct professor,

Bowling Green State University; orchestra director, Ann Arbor

Pioneer High School; orchestra director, Okemos Middle Schools; board

of directors, San Antonio Chamber Music Society; selection committee,

Kaleidoscope Concert, Suzuki Association of the Americas;

clinician, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Interlochen All-State

Orchestra Camp, and Suzuki workshops across the Midwest. In the

past year, Dr. Yun has spent three months in Meru, Kenya, to work

with a fledgling string program there. Dr. Yun holds a dual

bachelor’s degree in music education and mathematics, and also a

master’s degree in cello performance from Indiana University; at

the University of Michigan, she completed a doctorate in cello

performance. Dr. Yun's solo performances have been heard on Canadian
