MICHIGAN SOLO COMPETITION--NEW FORMAT <div><br></div><div>With the revisions of the National ASTA Solo Competition, Michigan ASTA Solo Competition has made some changes to make the MASTA competition compatible with the National competition.   There will be no change in repertoire requirements and applications/procedures are consistent with the National requirements.  Prizes will be awarded as follows:  SENIOR DIVISION: Grand Prize Winner--$1000 (Shar Music Award), First Prize Winner--$700 (Psarianos Award); JUNIOR DIVISION:  Grand Prize Winner--$1000 (Shar Music Awarad), First prize Winner--$700 (Elizabeth A.H. Green Award) given by MASTA.  Additionally, both division First Prize Winners will received $100 gift certificate from Psarianos Violins Ltd. The deadline for application is November 23, 2012.  Details and further information may be obtained by going to the following link:  <a href="http://www.astamichigan.org/solo.html" target="_blank">http://www.astamichigan.org/solo.html</a>.  All questions should be directed to:  E. Daniel Long, Chair, MASTA Solo Competition, <a href="mailto:edaniellong@gmail.com" target="_blank">edaniellong@gmail.com</a> or telephone 734-769-1270.</div>
