This intensive, 3-day experience, featuring small classes taught by our expert U-M faculty and designed specifically to improve your string teaching skills, will be held on June 20 - 22 on the U-M campus in Ann Arbor. Joining me on the faculty are Stephen Benham, Diana Gannett, Valerie Palmieri, and Erin Hansen.<br><br>The program is designed by faculty who have had decades of experience at all levels of string education. We foster a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere at the workshop with many opportunities for interaction and engaging discussions.<br>Classes are offered in a diverse array of topics, including:<br>* Assessment of student growth<br>* Beginning and intermediate pedagogy classes for all strings<br>* Orchestra rehearsal techniques for all levels<br>* Improvisation and alternative styles<br>* Recruitment, retention, and program development<br>* Using music technology<br>* Musician's health and wellness routines<br>* Instrument and bow selection<br>* Conducting lab<br>* String orchestra reading session<br><br>This workshop may be taken for 25 SCECH (formerly SB-CEUs), and the fee is $375.
