<div dir="ltr">Dear MASTA Members,<div><br></div><div>As we look forward to another summer of MASTA Camp I wanted to share with you our camp application, which can also be used as a 'flier' or poster for your classroom or studio. We have a great staff this year at camp made up of many new faces as well as many who are returning for another summer with us. There is a new <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOauyTwWBNk" target="_blank">MASTA Camp video</a> that you can share with your students this year showing them the many exciting activities at MASTA Camp. The video is on the home page of our website, <a href="http://www.mastastringcamps.com" target="_blank">www.mastastringcamps.com</a>, and is also accessable on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOauyTwWBNk" target="_blank">YouTube</a>. The video does not have the dialogue as the one in the past did, but you can show the <a href="http://www.mastastringcamps.com/about-camp.html" target="_blank">About Camp page</a> from our website which has detailed information about each session. </div><div><br></div><div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">I am pleased to inform you that because this past summer was another very successful year for the camps, the <span>MASTA</span> Board approved the continuance of a special scholarship opportunity for teachers who send their students to MASTA Camp. We are able to provide additional <span>scholarships</span> to <span>MASTA</span> member teachers who sent 5 or more students to camp in 2015. For every 5 students sent to camp by a teacher in 2015, that teacher will receive a $50 scholarship to award a student of their choise who registers to attend our 2016 camps (5 students = 1-$50 scholarship, 10 students = 2-$50 scholarships, 15 students = 3-$50 scholarships, etc.). </font>I will be sending notification to those qualifying for the scholarship for their students within the next few days. This may not be an opportunity that is available every year, but when we have a successful year we want to reinvest in our members and their students. <br></div></div><div><br></div><div>I am excited to also share with you the names of our Music Directors for each session. </div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Session 1</u></b></div><div>Carol Johson, Jenison Junior High School, Jenison Public Schools</div><div>Nina White, Smart Middle School, Walled Lake Public Schools</div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Session 2</u></b></div><div>Dan Scott, Jenison High School, Jenison Public Schools</div><div>Linda Trotter, West Bloomfield High School & Orchard Lake Middle School, West Bloomfield Public Schools</div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Session 3</u></b></div><div>Alan MacNair, Retired - Troy High School, Director of the Oakland University Chamber Orchestra</div><div><br></div><div>As always, if you ever have any questions about camp please feel free to email us at this camp email address, or you can email me (Caitlin) directly at <a href="mailto:mihalkoc@gmail.com" target="_blank">mihalkoc@gmail.com</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you for your continued support of the MASTA Camps!</div><div><br></div><div><div><div><div dir="ltr"><font style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)" size="2" face="georgia, serif"><font color="#000000">Musically yours,<br><br>Caitlin Mihalko, Director, MASTA String Camps<br>Ted McDonald, Assistant Director, MASTA String Camps</font><br><a href="mailto:mastacamps@gmail.com" style="color:rgb(106,168,79)" target="_blank">mastacamps@gmail.com</a><br><a href="http://www.astamichigan.org" style="color:rgb(106,168,79)" target="_blank">www.astamichigan.org</a><br><a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Masta-String-Camps/186714714749302" style="color:rgb(106,168,79)" target="_blank">Facebook</a><br><a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/MASTACamp" style="color:rgb(106,168,79)" target="_blank">Twitter</a></font><br></div></div></div>
