<p>Dear MASTA Members,</p>
<p>We are currently taking nominations for MASTA Teacher of the Year
and Administrator of the Year for 2020.<br>
<br>
Studio Teachers are recognized in even-numbered years. The minimum
qualifications for nominees include:<br>
</p>
<p>10 years of quality teaching in the state of Michigan<br>
Demonstrated service to the profession<br>
Member in good standing of ASTA<br>
Nominated by a current MASTA Member<br>
</p>
<p>Self-nominations are not allowed, and prior award winners are
ineligible. A list of prior award winner can be found here: <br>

<p>We are also seeking nominees for Administrator of the Year. The
minimum qualifications for nominees include:<br>
<br>
Administrator for 5 years in the State of Michigan<br>
Significant contribution to the promotion, maintenance, and/or
growth to string education in Michigan.</p>
<p>All nominations must include the following:<br>
1. Nominee’s name, phone number, email address, and teaching
position<br>
2. Nominator’s name, phone number, email address, and MASTA
membership number<br>
3. Statement about the nominee’s work and accomplishments within
the string teaching profession and MASTA. This might include
information about where the nominee has taught, dates of service,
past awards, special achievement; and the nominee’s impact on the
lives of students. <br>
<br>
Please email your nominations to Michael Hopkins, President-Elect
at <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:mhopkins@umich.edu">mhopkins@umich.edu</a> by Friday November 15. <br>
<br>
A ballot will be sent once the nomination period has ended.<br>
The winner will be announced at the Michigan Music Conference in
January.<br>
