    Dear MASTA members,<br>

    The University of Michigan String Educators Workshop will be held
    this year on Thursday June 25 through Saturday June 27 on the U-M
    North Campus in Ann Arbor.<br>
    <br>
    The workshop is a wealth of information. Charles Laux, Abby Alwin
    and Kelsey Dewar will be joining me as the faculty. It is a great
    opportunity to continue brushing up on your secondary instrument
    skills, play in a reading orchestra, get lots of ideas for teaching,
    and network with teachers from all over the country.<br>

    Automate and motivate 21st-century string players with instructional
    technology<br>
    Envisioning and developing the complete orchestra program<br>

    Kelsey Dewar will be teaching our String Immersion class for those
    with a band or choral background who are not string principals and
    others with little background in strings who find themselves
    assigned to teach orchestra. Instruments are provided - please tell
    your band and choral colleagues who have been assigned to teach
    strings!
