As always, the president of ASTA will present state chapter awards at the ASTA National Conference during the Wednesday State Leadership Workshop.

     *   December 4 – Bornoff scholarship application deadline.  For anyone attending the National Conference and would like to be considered for a national scholarship.

State Leadership Resources Are you a new state president or president elect? Don't know where to start? The resources below are for you! These resources will help ...

Please download the PDF, complete it and return to ASTA.  This is critical information and a requirement of all states to be in compliance with your affiliation agreement.

  1.  A reminder – all state chapters must distribute at least one newsletter by June 30 2018 in order to be in compliance with the affiliation agreement with ASTA.  In addition, states must also have at least one state event- whatever form that takes, again to be in compliance with the affiliation agreement.  Please reach out if you have questions.

  1.  State chapter logo and guidelines- ASTA has developed for all official state ASTA functions the attached logo.  This logo along with the guidelines on how to use it can be used on any official ASTA chapter correspondence, chapter events.  Your state should be identified as well but this logo brands any activity that your state board has approved as an official state event.

We encourage you to only distribute this logo officially through your state board to be used on preapproved events.  You can also place this on your website.

The purpose of this logo is to start developing the ASTA chapter brand.    Please reach out if you have questions.

  1.  Membership update- ASTA currently has 7836 members.  This is growth from the 10/23 number of 7666.  However next week we will be expiring over 100 members.  We are gaining a little but still expiring quite a few members.  We will be sending you expired member lists after the holiday for follow up.

  1.  Online career center- As you know ASTA launched a new online career center.  We encourage you to let your state members know and also the institutions within your state.  For institutions the career center is a great resource for them to list open jobs.
