[MASTA Board] ASTA Content Development Committee

Hello Dan and MASTA Board!

I do hope you are having an extraordinary summer!

I am writing today to tell you about a new role I am taking on with ASTA,
as a member of the Content Development Committee between 2018-2020.

*Our Strategic Plan Goal is centered around Content and Knowledge:
Developing and delivering high value timely solutions that support members’
evolving needs.*

The mission of the content development committee is to coordinate work of
the ASTA committees that have to do with content including research,
pedagogy, curriculum in terms of producing resources that meet the needs of
the string community as delineated in the strategic plan. (the committees
included in content development are K-12, Studio, Collegiate, Eclectic
Strings, Research, editors of the AST and the String Research Journal.)
Additionally, identify top knowledge trends and potential identification of
curated content and if needed, developing unique content for ASTA.

As a proud member of Michigan ASTA, I am hoping we can be leaders in
bringing unique ideas of content to the committee for further development.
In short, as you hear about unique things going on in this state, or hear
our MASTA members expressing their desires for resources, or concerns about
the organization, please feel free to pass those things along to me.* No
ideas are too small! *I would be happy to bring them up with our committee
for further exploration.

I hope summer is going well, and I look forward to seeing what MASTA brings
to 2018-2019!
