Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for considering this grant. It sounds like the letter may not
have attached from Janis' email. Please find it attached to this email. I
have written a "special grant" for consideration as the project does not
fall cleanly into the two present categories. Funding would be for this
year only as a special project.
Background:
The MMC Teachers Orchestra has relied on volunteers for the past 7 years.
MSBOA and MASTA have split hotel costs (one per night) depending on the
travel distance and preference of the conductor clinician. Based on
participant feedback I am hoping to diversify next year's clinician by
bringing someone in from out of state who can also be more involved at the
conference presenting sessions. I do not anticipate the need for funding
such as this every year though would like to try it this year. Thank you
for considering support towards this initiative through grant funding. If
the grant is not able to be approved can you please provide some names of
conductor/clinicians you feel would be strong candidates under the past
years volunteer basis.
Thank you!
Joel
