Run for the Arts!
Join us for the Michigan Youth Arts in Motion 5k, October 11, in Royal  
Oak! Family-friendly and suitable for both runners and walkers, our  
inaugural 5k event will raise money to support arts education in  
Michigan's schools. More than just a race, the day will be a  
celebration of the arts - featuring live performances, on-site  
installations, and the opportunity for team participation and  
fundraising.  There are many ways you can get involved - running or  
walking, participating as an artist, collecting sponsorships, or  
volunteering!  Read on to learn more.
Art in the Park (and on the street)!
We're looking for artists across disciplines to participate in our  
October event.  Bands, dance troupes, choirs, theatre groups, poets  
and other performers can do their thing among the walkers, along the  
course, or in the park.  Visual artists can install outdoor  
sculptures, create signage, or construct finisher awards.

We challenge you to make your art as interactive as possible - so  
everyone can explore their creativity!

Students and professionals are welcome.

Help raise money for Michigan Youth Arts by becoming a fundraiser!   
Whether you want to collect sponsorships to support your walk or run  
for the arts, or help support our cause without participating in the  
5k, you can set a personal goal, upload a photo, and raise money  
online!  Our goal is to raise $10,000 by October 11!  We can do it

Volunteers needed!
Have time to give instead of money?  Become a volunteer at the 5k.  We  
need people to help with registration, water stations, course  
marshalling, and more.  This is a great job for scout troops or school

Join us in support of arts education in Michigan schools! Help us put  
on this celebration with a sponsorship from your business or
