Dear MASTA Member:

 

For 25 years, Judy Palac has taught music to children in our community using the Suzuki method. She has served as teacher, director and currently, as director emeritus. Under her tenure, the program has reached approximately 3,000 local children and has grown to include six instruments which are now taught through the Suzuki method.

 

To celebrate Judy’s tremendous dedication to the MSU Suzuki Program, we are dedicating the Suzuki Strings Spring Concert to her. At the concert, we will recognize her commitment to the program and honor her with a performance of the Concerto in d minor for Two Violins, 1st mvt., J.S. Bach played by current and former Suzuki strings students. 

 

As a member of the Suzuki family, you are invited to attend this free concert held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in the MSU Community Music School’s Auditorium. Former Suzuki students wishing to play Concerto in d minor for Two Violins, 1st mvt., J.S. Bach, should contact Susanne Garber at garbersu at msu.edu or (517) 355-7661, ext. 15.

 

We also ask you to consider making a gift in honor of Judy Palac’s 25th anniversary. Donations will support financial aid for Suzuki students in accordance with Judy’s request. Please see the enclosed information if you would like to contribute. We will acknowledge those whose donations are received by April 30 in the concert program.

 

We hope you will join us and be a part of this special celebration and expression of thanks for Judy. We look forward to seeing you for a memorable concert.
