Come to New York City
Festival alumni are invited to the inaugural Michigan Youth Arts Trek
to New York City, July 26-30.
Arts Trek is a travel tour for people with a passion for the arts. It
allows participants to explore a new city and experience its artistic
culture first-hand, through tours and performances, but also workshops
and behind-the-scenes access rarely afforded the casual tourist.
Participation in Arts Trek 2010 is limited to the first 40 Festival
alums (students, parents or teachers) who sign up. Download a flyer
with a complete itinerary, here. And register today!
VSA arts Institute for educators February 25-28
The VSA arts Institute is a series of professional development
workshops that focus on designing and delivering arts learning
experiences that reach students with disabilities. Through discussion
and hands-on arts activities, participants in our workshops gain an
understanding of the foundations of arts learning and inclusive
education, and how to use inclusive practices in their work. Learn
more and register here.
