[Members] Short Survey

Greetings fellow Music Educators. 

My name is Andrew Pool, and I am an instrumental music director in the Grand Rapids area. Currently, I am working on a research project regarding the National Standards and I need your help. You have been contacted because of your training and experience teaching secondary instrumental music in Michigan and your involvement in one or more of the professional music education associations in the state. 

At the bottom of this letter, you will find a hyperlink to a 15 question survey in two parts regarding the influence of the National Standards for Music Education. Part one allows you to share your attitudes regarding the standards by agreeing or disagreeing with prepared statements. Part two asks for demographic information for tracking purposes. The survey will be active for a period of one week once you have received this notification. The survey will require less than 5 minutes to complete. 

Data from this survey will be stored on a password protected digital mass-storage device and kept in a locked file. To further protect your privacy, all survey information will be kept strictly confidential and destroyed following the study. No names will be used on individual surveys or in the reporting of the data. Your participation in this project is strictly voluntary and you may withdraw before submitting your responses at any point in the survey. There is no risk to you.  Results from the research project will be available following completion of the study by contacting me personally at apool at fhps.us.
