Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to let MASTA members know of a wonderful music camp opportunity in the beautiful state of Maine! Located on the shores of Lake Messalonskee, New England Music Camp is great place for kids ages 12-18 to enjoy musical growth as well as social/recreational experiences that that make this a "balanced program" for your students' summer experience. My husband, Leon Gregorian, and I have been teaching at NEMC for the last twenty-some years. Leon is also now the Music Director of NEMC. Our own three children attended four summers each as campers & benefitted from what NEMC offered to them. They, as well as many other former campers, have gone on to become professional musicians/teachers, and they feel the time spent at NEMC helped mold them to become well-rounded musicians and adults. Private students of mine who have attended NEMC speak fondly of their experiences there as well.

Please read the notice (below) that tells you a little bit about the camp & then go to the website www.nemusiccamp.com for more information about camp dates, program offerings, financial information & scholarships, etc.

If you would like to contact me or my husband directly, our e-mail addresses are lindagregorian at hotmail.com and gregoria at msu.edu . We would be pleased to help facilitate your students being able to attend NEMC this summer!

Encourage your students to make the most of their summer!
At New England Music Camp, students experience all the fun of a traditional summer camp while achieving incredible musical and personal growth. Afternoon recreation & sporting activities are an integral part of the camp experience, as well as the morning music classes, faculty & student recitals, orchestra, band, and choir concerts.

All instrumental and vocal studios still have openings for Summer 2013.

Our goal each summer is to achieve balanced instrumentation across all of our performing groups and, while enrollment is steady, we still have openings in ALL studios for the 2013 seas on. We would love to have your violin, viola, cello, & bass Orchestra student(s) be among those who attend NEMC this summer! If you are able to forward this to your band & vocal colleagues, we would appreciate their knowing about New England Music Camp as well.

In most cases, NEMC is able to offer financial aid and scholarship for students in need. Application for scholarship can be downloaded HERE on our website and should be submitted when applying to camp.

Student referrals from excellent music educators, like yourself, are important to the continued success of our program. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to educating young musicians throughout the year and we always look forward to working with your students during the summer months!

Visit www.nemusiccamp.com for more information.

For a summer enriched with music, fun, and friendship.
