>From the MSBOA office, we have just received information and weblink to the MI Model Arts Education Instruction and Assessment Project Audit Tool (MAEIA). 

The State committee, made up of several arts educators from all levels has been meeting to put together this document and assessment tool. We are now asking for our members (as well as the public) to review the progress and submit it to the committee. Become a part of this vital process by following the link provided. Read the draft document first and then connect to the actual survey.  The directions are included in the download.

Inviting Public Review of the MI Model Arts Education Instruction and Assessment Project Audit Tool (MAEIA) from August 15 to September 15, 2013 The Michigan MAEIA Project has drafted an Audit Tool for districts to use in assessing the quality of their arts education instructional program and is now seeking public review of the tool.  The document is currently being reviewed by the MAEIA In-depth Reviewers. The public is invited to review Draft 1 using an e-survey and PDF of the draft document. The purpose of the MAEIA Audit Tool, in conjunction with the Instructional Blueprint, Assessment Specifications and prototypes will result in resources intended to provide a road map for voluntary program improvement and enhancement in the state of Michigan.  Arts education assessments will be developed in Years 2 and 3 of this project.  This is an opportunity for educators and community members to assist MAEIA in fine-tuning the Audit Tool.  We are asking for your help in sharing this opportunity with your colleagues and your organization's membership.Please visit the MAEIA Wikispace at:  mi-arts.wikispaces.com  for further information and instructions on how complete the review using the e-survey.The MAEIA Audit Tool will be up for Review from August 15 - September 15, 2013.
