MASTA,

This is an easy survey to take and seems very well founded in both interesting questions and in research!

Subject: Survey Reminder

Diane,
Would you be willing to send out a reminder email about the survey? The text for the email is below. Thanks so much for your help!

Rebecca

Dear Colleague,

A few weeks ago you were sent an email asking you to participate in a survey entitled, An Examination of Teacher Perceptions on Memorization in the String Classroom. The purpose is to examine how music educators feel about memorization in the string-learning environment. It is widely accepted that teacher perceptions strongly influence student achievement in most learning environments. Currently, NO DATA exists to inform us about teachers’ perceptions on memorization in the instrumental classroom. Please help us answer some very intriguing questions on this subject by taking 5 minutes to express your valuable opinions.

To protect your anonymity, you will not be asked to provide any identifying information. Completions of this survey indicates your willingness to take part in this study and that you are at least 18 years old. You may refuse to participate in this survey without penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled. You may also discontinue participation at any time without penalty or loss of benefits. Decisions made during this survey will not affect your standing in the string education community or your employment status at your school or business.

If you choose to participate, the survey may be found at this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FQ97BDP
Please do not forward the link to any other individual, it is specific to your email address.

If you have any further questions about the project or participants’ rights, feel free to contact me at jmdakon at ku.edu or the KU Internal Review Board, HSCL at ku.edu. Reference HSCL #20733.

Thank you in advance for your responses!

Respectfully Yours,
