Greetings respected Orchestra people! A former student of mine is the high school orchestra director at a large school in Houston with a growing program, and he's looking for a middle school director. It sure sounds like a great gig for someone with some middle school orchestra chops - please forward this info to anyone you can think of and have them contact Chris Mustell in Houston.

Thanks much!
steve

Hi Steve,

I'm emailing you to see if you know of anyone interested in teaching middle school orchestra here in Houston, Texas. The middle school is set up with 300 students total in grades 6-8th. The program already has two assistant directors in place, ready to help out. Lastly, this middle school program feeds into my high school orchestra program (Cypress Ridge High School).

This is a great job with good pay. We are looking for an experienced teacher that would be ready to take the bull by the horns and sprint.

This is not the typical Texas situation where the director is expected to win trophies all year long, but there is plenty of help and a good budget to maintain and grow the program.

If you know of any interested candidates, please have them email me their resume and call me on my office phone listed below.

Thank you for your help! I hope all is well with you and your family.

When I get into town this summer, we will have to meet for dinner and a couple of beers one night.

Best Personal Regards,

Chris
