[MASTA] University of Michigan Bass Bash

Dear MASTA members and Bass Enthusiasts,

Our 4th annual Bass Bash at the University of Michigan School of Music, 
Theatre & Dance will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Bass Bash is a clinic for beginning, intermediate and advanced classical 
and jazz bass students in grades 6-12 and their teachers. Students will 
play in small ensembles, have a technique class, work on a massed 
ensemble piece, and give a short informal performance at the end of the 
day. We will also have a secondary instrument bass class for teachers 
who are interested in developing their bass skills and learning about 
double bass pedagogy.

We have a great faculty for the day including Diana Gannett, Robert 
Hurst, John Kennedy, Larry Hutchinson and Aaron Johnson. We also have 
two special guests joining us this year: Yung-chiao Wei from Louisiana 
State University and Kevin Brown, principal bassist of the Detroit 
Symphony Orchestra.
