Dear MASTA members and Bass Enthusiasts,

This is a reminder that our 5th annual Bass Bash at the University of
Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance will be held on Saturday,
September 26, 2015.

Bass Bash is a clinic for beginning, intermediate and advanced classical
and jazz bass students in grades 6-12 and their teachers. Students will
play in small ensembles, have a technique class, work on a massed ensemble
piece, and give a short informal performance at the end of the day. We will
also have a secondary instrument bass class for teachers who are interested
in developing their bass skills and learning about double bass pedagogy.

Bass Bash is a great opportunity for your students to meet Scott Pingel,
our new double bass studio faculty member. Also on the faculty are several
other well-known bassists including U-M faculty Diana Gannett and Robert
Hurst, John Kennedy, Larry Hutchinson and Aaron Johnson.

Detailed information and registration can be found online:

Using the above link you can register a group of students from your school,
or your students can register individually.

Thanks,
