[MASTA] Mimi Zweig and the IU Jacobs School of Music Virtuosi Concert and Masterclass

Dear String Educators,



I am excited to announce that Mimi Zweig and her Jacobs School of Music
Indiana University Violin Virtuosi are coming to Hillsdale College to
perform a concert on Saturday, April 30 at 7:00. This unique collection of
violinists between the ages of 12 and 18 will perform as a violin ensemble
and as soloists. The Virtuosi have performed throughout the world and have
been enthusiastically embraced in Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, France,
Italy, Spain, Sweden and Japan.



Mimi Zweig is currently  Professor of Violin, Director of the Indiana
University String Academy and one of the most highly respected string
pedagogues in the world.  Since 1972 she has developed pre-college string
programs across the United States.  She is author and producer of
 StringPedagogy.com an innovative web string based teaching tool. Among her
students include world-renowned Joshua Bell and many others who have won
numerous competitions, and teach and perform worldwide.



I addition to the concert, Mimi will be performing a masterclass 2:00-4:00 (see
details below).  I strongly encourage you and your students to take
advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
