Dear MASTA friends,

Central Michigan University and Midland Symphony are offering Undergraduate Orchestral Fellowships for strings to incoming Michigan Freshman. Please see the details below. The PDF flyer and application form are attached.

Midland Symphony Orchestra
Undergraduate Orchestral Fellowships
with the Central Michigan University School of Music

What is the Fellowship?
• Up to $12,000 combined with MSO Award and CMU Scholarships
• Mentoring program with the Midland Symphony Orchestra
• Master classes with renowned visiting artists
• Renewable up to three additional consecutive years
Who is Eligible?
• Orchestral string players
• Michigan residents
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and 20 ACT
• Required audition and interview
What is the Application Procedure?
• Complete CMU Admissions application
• Complete Fellowship application two weeks prior to audition date
• Interview at time of audition
• Required audition material:
- Standard concerto or sonata movement
- Two standard orchestral excerpts
- Three octave major and minor scales
- Sight reading
