[MASTA] MASTA Camp 2017

Dear MASTA Members,

I hope you are well! I wanted to share with you our 2017 MASTA Camp
Application. The deadline for applications is May 1st and sessions are
already almost 1/3 full. For more information about the camps you can visit
our camp website via the MASTA Website <http://www.astamichigan.org/> or
you can go directly to www.mastastringcamps.com. The camp application is
available on the "Registration
<http://www.mastastringcamps.com/registration.html>" page of the website
and has also been attached to this email. Information about the individual
sessions can be found on the "About Camp
<http://www.mastastringcamps.com/about-camp.html>" page. There is also a
camp video on the homepage of the website that you can share with your
students.

There is a scholarship program for camp sponsored by MASTA for those
students in financial need. I have attached the scholarship application to
this email as well. This application needs to be sent separately to our
Outreach Chair, Abby Alwin, for processing. The deadline for the
scholarship applications is April 1st, 2017.

The MASTA String Camps are a great way for young students to come learn
more about their instrument in a fun and encouraging environment. Students
of all ability levels are welcome at camp. We differentiate instruction at
camp based on ability level so that all campers' needs are met. We also
make sure that they have plenty of fun away from their instrument by
providing a variety of traditional camp experiences.

The MASTA String Camps are held at the Howell Nature Center in Howell, MI.
The Nature Center has wonderful facilities for our campers, including
cabins that are carpeted and air conditioned with attached modern
bathrooms.

Our Music Directors for each session this year are:

   - Session 1 - Carol Johnson & Becky Bush
   - Session 2 - Nina White
   - Session 3 - Alan MacNair

Additionally, this year we have a limited number of complimentary MASTA
Camp posters available for your classroom or studio. If you would like one
please email me with your mailing address and I will send one to you. I
have attached a picture of the poster to this email for your reference.
They are available while supplies last, so email me soon!

We are assembling a wonderful staff this year and look forward to working
with your students! We are still hiring counseling/instructional staff.
