Dear MASTA Members,

We are very happy to announce that our 2017 Louis Potter Cello Competition will be taking place on Monday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Troy, which is located on John R road between Big Beaver and Maple roads. All applications are due by Monday, April 24th. The following attachment contains the application and all of the information and guidelines concerning this cello competition which is a MASTA competition. This competition is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in High School.
We hope you may have an applicable student or students whom would like to participate. Please forward this to anyone you think would be interested in participating.

We are currently in the process of promoting our Louis Potter Cello Competition which will be taking place on Monday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Troy. This cello competition is a MASTA competition. In the past, MASTA has done a mass email to all of their members, which has been extremely helpful in recruiting applicants. We would really appreciate if you could do that for us once again!
There is a letter attached at the bottom that I will forward to you in an email that can easily be forwarded to your members. I will also attach the application with the competition's information and guidelines to that email.
Scholarships are provided to the winning recipient through MASTA. In the fall, we send a check to the MASTA Treasurer, who then forwards the monies to the winners college specifying that it be applied to their first year tuition. At your convenience could you  give us the current contact information of the MASTA Treasurer?
