Dear MASTA Members:


The Michigan Youth Arts Festival will take place May 18-20th on the campus of Western Michigan University.  One of the featured groups at the festival is the winning ensemble of the 26th annual MASTA Chamber Music Festival Competition.


Trio Brioso - Karl Falb, violin, Helen LaGrand, cello, Mara Logan, piano - won for their outstanding performance of Shostakovich Piano Trio no. 2 and will have several performances at WMU:


  *   Thursday, May 18 - Welcoming Celebration at 7:00 p.m. - first on the program

  *   Friday, May 19 - in the upper lobby prior to the Gala Concert

  *   Saturday, May 20 - at the Instrumental Showcase 10:00-12:00 - final performers on the program.


Please show your support for this exquisite ensemble. They represent the incredible work that is done by members of the Michigan Chapter of the American String Teachers Association!
