[MASTA] MASTA Chamber Music Festival - Mar 4 2019

Dear MASTA members,

Registration is now open for the 2019 MASTA Chamber Music Festival, 
which will be held on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann 
Arbor on Monday March 4, 2019.

Our guest artists will be the Muse Ensemble:

Danielle Belen, violin – Associate Professor of Music, University of 
Michigan; Director of Center Stage Strings. Winner of the 2008 Sphinx 
Competition. Soloist with major symphonies across the U.S., including 
Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Nashville and San Francisco Symphonies, the Boston 
Pops, and the Florida and Cleveland Orchestras.

Kyoko Kashiwagi, violin – Founding member of three quartets, she won 
numerous first prizes and awards at competitions in the United States, 
Japan, and Canada. She has toured the world and hosted master classes at 
universities nationwide.

Eva Stern, viola – faculty at Eastern Michigan University. Former member 
of the Richmond Symphony and the Louisville Orchestra, substitute with 
the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Chautauqua Symphony 
Orchestra.

Katri Ervamaa, cello – Chair of University of Michigan’s Residential 
College chamber music program. Specializes in chamber music, new music 
and creative improvisation. She has performed and given master classes 
throughout North America, Europe and Taiwan and is a founding member of 
the Brave New Works ensemble.
