> Here are a few notes about MASTA’s Outreach Grants, including a new option to submit applications online! I’m extending the upcoming January 1 deadline to January 10 – see details below.

> About the Outreach Program

> The MASTA Outreach Program is designed to assist members in financing projects that promote string playing and teaching in Michigan. Teachers who are ASTA members can apply for Program Grants, which assist string programs in providing instruction or other enhancement activities, or Professional Development Grants for their own pursuit of education or training that will enhance their string playing and/or teaching. You can find more details about these grants here - http://astamichigan.org/programs/masta-outreach/. Note that we are in the process of updating the form, so make sure to send materials to me at the address on the web page.

> The Outreach Program also offers scholarships for students to attend MASTA Camp in the summer, so keep that in mind for the spring.

> You can still submit Outreach Grant applications by mail (find the form and directions here - http://astamichigan.org/programs/masta-outreach/), but I highly recommend submitting your request online by filling out the Google Form. > Outreach Grant deadlines are January 1, April 1, and September 1. I am extending the January 2020 deadline to January 10, but I must receive all applications by the end of the school day on the 10th. If you’re planning to submit an application by mail, you will need to put it in the mail a few days early to ensure that it is in my hands by the 10th.
