[MASTA] Your Directory Listing

Dear MASTA Members,
     I am the new Studio Chair for MASTA and one of my goals is to help
expand communications between studio teachers and the ASTA Michigan
community.

There is currently a "Find a Teacher
<https://www.astastrings.org/Web/Learn_Strings/Find_a_Teacher/Public/Directory/Find_a_Teacher.aspx?hkey=d3e94126-39bb-4314-abc3-569045bc3dad>"
search page on the national ASTA website at www.astastrings.org. There are
some things we are looking to update in the future as far as the ease of
use, and function. At the current moment, it would be very beneficial if we
had all updated profiles. This will not only allow you, as private teachers
to gather new students but for future updates of the directory to happen
more smoothly. Personally, I didn't even know this was available until
recently. Even after learning about it, I failed to go through the correct
steps to be on it.

Step 1: Log in at ASTAstrings.org <http://astastrings.org/>. You should see
a "Sign in" bow on the top of the page.

Step 2: After logging in click "My Profile" which will be to the right of
the button that says "Sign Out."

Step 3: On your profile, you will see 5 tabs. About, Billing info, History,
Preference, and *Directory Listing*. Filling out your "About" page does not
put you in the "Find a Teacher" directory. For that, you *must* fill out
the "Directory Listing" part.

Once that is filled out you should be able to find yourself in the
directory.

Throughout the rest of the 2021 year, I will be posting updated material on
the studio teaching page <http://astamichigan.org/programs/studio-teaching/>,
creating guides that may be useful for your private studio, and organizing
a virtual meetup/conference to share ideas and grow as a Michigan Studio
Teaching Community.
