Dear MASTA members,

Each December we send out a Resource Guide to members with information
about our upcoming events, as well as a look back at the previous year.
Here is a link to the 2022 MASTA Resource Guide:

I would like to thank this year's MASTA sponsors:

Platinum: Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
Gold: Meyer Music, Baroque Violin Shop
Silver: A&G Central Music

I would also like to thank Joe Harmsen for all of his great work as our
Advertising and Sponsorship coordinator!

We are hopeful and optimistic that 2022 will be the year we are able to
return to holding our events in person. The Resource Guide contains
detailed information about all of these upcoming events:

The Michigan Music Conference Jan. 27-29 in Grand Rapids.

The MASTA Chamber Music Festival on March 7 at WMU.

The ASTA National Conference, March 16-9 in Atlanta, followed by a
virtual conference March 23-27.

The MASTA String Camps in June at the Howell Nature Center: Session 1 -
June 17-19, Session 2 - June 20 - 24, and Session 3 - June 26 - July 2.

The MASTA Solo Competition at Hillsdale College in Fall 2022.

Special thanks to Jim Van Eizenga, Mary Kothman, Caitlin Mihalko,
Melissa Knecht for planning and coordinating these MASTA events, and to
all the other incredible board members and project directors. MASTA is
truly fortunate to have such a dedicated group of people willing to
serve the organization.

The guide also has information about the nominees for Teacher of the
Year and Executive Board elections. Dan Scott sent out a link to the
ballot earlier today. Please cast your votes by January 17!

Thank you for all you do for string education in Michigan! I wish you
all a relaxing, safe and festive holiday season!

Musically yours,
Michael
