*Welcome back Teachers Orchestra!*
We are looking forward to seeing everyone together again and making some
great music in Grand Rapids! We are thrilled to be joined by this year's
clinician Chad Hutchinson, Director of Orchestral Activities at Eastern
Michigan University! We are performing La Muerte del Angel by Astor
Piazzolla, October by Eric Whitacre (arr. by Paul Lavender), and the first
two movements of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings. Please find important
details and reminders about Teachers Orchestra below.
*Before the conference:* During your registration, please select
'MSBOA/MASTA Teachers Orchestra' under the Add Ons section. If you would
like to participate in the Conducting Symposium (at an additional cost),
please select that as well. Spots are limited and it is first come, first
serve.
*1. Schedule*
*Thursday, January 19, 2023*
Please plan to pick up your registration before our session. Our session is
held in the *Pantlind Ballroom* (Amway Grand).
12:00-12:30pm Check-in, warm-up, socialize
12:30pm-2:15pm - Rehearsal Lab with Chad Hutchinson
2:30-4:00pm Conducting Symposium + program run through
*Friday, January 20, 2023*
7:00pm - Performance in the Ambassador Ballroom (Amway Grand). Featuring
MASTA Soloist Competition Winner
Attire: Concert black (all black top and bottom, no jacket, no tie).

If you are interested in getting individualized feedback from our clinician
