Please see the message below from Michael Edwards

Now that registration is open for the Michigan Music Conference, I would
like to invite you to participate in the Teachers Orchestra. The MMC
Teachers Orchestra is delighted to welcome Octavio Mas-Arocas, Director of
Orchestras at Michigan State University as the conductor clinician for
2024! We will be performing Starburst by Jessie Montgomery, Sleep by Eric
Whitacre, Drops of Sun by Sean O'Loughlin, and Serenade for Strings by
Edward Elgar. Please find important details and reminders about Teachers
Orchestra below.

Thursday, January 25, 2024

Please plan to pick up your registration before our session. Our session is
held in the Pantlind Ballroom (Amway Grand).

12:00-12:30pm Check-in, warm-up, socialize

12:30pm-2:15pm - Rehearsal Lab with Octavio Mas-Arocas

2:30-4:00pm Conducting Symposium + program run through

Friday, January 26, 2024

7:00pm - Performance in the Ambassador Ballroom (Amway Grand). Featuring
MASTA Soloist Competition Winner

Attire: Concert black (all black top and bottom, no jacket, no tie).

3. Conducting Symposium

If you are interested in getting individualized feedback from our clinician
about your conducting, please register for the Symposium when you register
for the conference. This is a great opportunity! There is an additional fee
for participants. Contact Mark Stice with your questions.
