[MASTA] String Camps!

Hello MASTA,

I know you're busy so I'll be as efficient as possible!

Two camps your students may be interested in, brought to you by your
friendly neighborhood cello professor!

*What: *Emerald Isle String Haven
*Participants*: Adult learners
*Level:* Intermediate and up
*Number of students: *35-40
*Instruments:* violin, viola, and cello (cello is full).
*Dates: *Sunday, June 22-27, 2025.
*Where?* Colombiere Conference and Retreat Center, Clarkston, Michigan.
*Faculty: *Takeshi Abo (Violin), Diana Dyer (violin), Reed Anderson (Viola),
Jamie Fiste (cello).
*Activities: *String orchestra, chamber groups, fingerboard geography and
technique classes, faculty concert.
*Overall characteristics:* Helpful, challenging, encouraging, supportive,
and sometimes a bit goofy..

*Participants*: High school cello students
*Level:* Intermediate to advanced
*Number of students:* 35-ish
*Instruments:* Cello
*Dates: *Monday, July 7 - Wednesday, July 9, 2025
*Faculty: *Jamie Fiste, Cello Professor CMU
*Counselor and coach:  *Anna Mamassian, Orchestra Director, Midland High
School
*Chamber music coach (Tuesday only):* Dr. Keith Dodson, Director of
Orchestral Studies, CMU
*Where?* Colombiere Conference and Retreat Center, Clarkston, Michigan
*Activities:*  Cello choir, more cello choir, cello chamber groups,
fingerboard geography and technique classes, master class, bonfire, fun
activities, final student concert on Wednesday.
*Overall Characteristics:* Challenging, pushing students to do their best,
intense, yet encouraging and supportive.

We haven't had to advertise much for Cello Haven in the past as we've had a
lot of returning students. But we'd like to grow this camp from around 25
to 35 students.
