CMU HONORS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

The Honors Chamber Orchestra program invites High School string players from
the state of Michigan for a workshop and concert.  The participants are
involved with group sessions led by the string faculty at CMU as well as
playing with the string orchestra.  The CMU Symphony will join the Honors
Chamber Orchestra in one selection.  The repertoire is selected from the
great orchestra and string repertoire.
 
In addition, the Honors Chamber Orchestra will have the opportunity of
observing the master class given by our visiting artist, David Kim, violin,
concert master of the Philadelphia Orchestra.  Mr. Kim will also give a
recital in the evening and participants of the Honors Chamber Orchestra are
invited to attend free of charge.
