[MASTA] MASTA GENERAL MEETING AT THE MMC

The MASTA General Membership meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday,
January 24th in the Imperial Room of the Amway Grand.
The meeting will last 45 minutes and include:
Call to Order- Staudacher
Secretary Report - Minutes - Trotter
Treasurer Report - Kolk
Announcement of MASTA Teacher of the Year Winner.-Peterson
MASTA Solo Competition Winners-Knecht
Performing during this years MASTA General Membership Meeting will be:
Steve Lukich. Grand Prize Winner Senior Division
Cullen O'Neil   Grand Prize Winner for the Jr. Division


You should have received an email from Burke Lokey with all MASTA board
reports attached.  I included in this email the addition of Melissa
Knecht's Research and Solo Competition report.  You can also find these
reports on our MASTA website
under  Board Members heading:

If you want hard copies of the MASTA meeting reports please print your own.
There will be none available at the meeting.

The MASTA blog portion of our website has replaced the hard copy MASTA
Notes.  It will be updated with new articles and information throughout the
year. Please check the website often!  www.astamichigan.org


The Michigan Music Conference will feature sessions by National ASTA
President, Steven Benham.  MASTA also sponsors a session entitled Insights
from the Studio and our very popular Make and Take session.  Many other
string teaching related sessions will be offered.  You can find subjects
and session times by using the MMC App.  It is available to download at the
apple or google store just search MMC.

Don't forget our MASTA reception following the Teachers Orchestra
performance on Friday evening. This event is in the Amway Grand Luxury
Suite on the 26th floor of the Towers.   We will be honoring Marilyn Kesler
and E. Daniel Long as our MASTA Lifetime Achievement Award Winners at 9
p.m.  Bring a friend and enjoy some great goodies and company.
