[MASTA] Reminder: Nominations Due November 15!

Greetings, MASTA Members!

This is just another reminder that we are accepting nominations for the
2023 MASTA Teacher of the Year and 2023 MASTA Administrator of the Year, to
be awarded at the 2023 Michigan Music Conference! Nominations for these
prestigious awards will be accepted until November 15, 2022.

Here are the criteria for each award:

TEACHER OF THE YEAR CRITERIA (Orchestra Teacher/Director this year)

Award is given at the MMC Conference in January.

Nominees for Teacher of the Year must fit the following criteria:

   -

   In odd-numbered years, must be an orchestra teacher/director
   -

   In even-numbered years, must be a studio teacher
   -

   Must be nominated in the area that they are currently teaching
   (orchestra teacher/director or studio teacher)
   -

   10 years of quality teaching in the state of Michigan
   -

   Demonstrated service to the profession
   -

   Member in good standing of ASTA
   -

   Nominated by a current MASTA Member
   -

   Self-nominations are not allowed

the Year will be an Orchestra Teacher/Director.



ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

Nominees for Administrator of the Year must fit the following criteria:

   -

   Nominee has been an administrator for at least 5 years.
   -

   Currently working as an administrator
   -

   Has made a significant contribution to the promotion, maintenance and/or
   growth of string education at either the school district, regional or state
   level.
   -

   Must be nominated by a MASTA member.
   -

   Self-nominations are not allowed.
