[MASTA] MASTA Teacher/Admin of the Year Nominations

Dear MASTA Members,


We are extending the deadline for nominations until this Friday November,
22, 2024.* This year's Teacher of the Year will be an Orchestra
Teacher/Director.*


Here are the criteria for each award:

TEACHER OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

Award is given at the MMC Conference in January.

Nominees for Teacher of the Year must fit the following criteria:

   -

   Must be nominated in the area that they are currently teaching
   (orchestra teacher/director or studio teacher)
   -

   10 years of quality teaching in the state of Michigan
   -

   Demonstrated service to the profession
   -

   Member in good standing of ASTA
   -

   Nominated by a current MASTA Member
   -

   Self-nominations are not allowed

not eligible to receive this award; you can find a list of previous winners

Teacher of the Year will be an Orchestra Teacher.


ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR CRITERIA

Nominees for Administrator of the Year must fit the following criteria:

   -

   Nominee has been an administrator for at least 5 years.
   -

   Currently working as an administrator
   -

   Has made a significant contribution to the promotion, maintenance and/or
   growth of string education at either the school district, regional or state
   level.
   -

   Must be nominated by a MASTA member.
   -

   Self-nominations are not allowed.
