Greetings, MASTA!

I am so excited to see many of you this weekend at MMC! I wanted to share a
few fun things for this year's MMC:

1. Please come to our General Membership Meeting at 8AM on Friday in the
Imperial Ballroom. We will have FREE COFFEE AND DONUTS (and in case you
haven't heard, Starbucks is closed this year, so meeting attendance gives
you free coffee AND helps you not have to walk outside to get it!). You
will also have a chance to win a MASTA shirt or car decal (must be present
to win) - all you have to do is complete a Google Form to help us
brainstorm for our 2026 MASTA Summer Retreat! Finally, in addition to
learning about all things MASTA, you'll have a chance to meet our
headliner, Dr. LaSaundra Belcher!

2. Speaking of our headliner, she has 4 amazing sessions planned for us!
She asked us to pass along that the Friday 9AM session is a Reading
Session, so please plan to bring your instruments.

3. Our MASTA Booth in the Exhibit Hall will once again have swag, selfies,
and shenanigans!!! Please come visit us and pick up some MASTA water bottle
stickers and/or bracelets, among other things, take some fun pictures with
our photo booth props and new special friend who will be spending time at
the booth - come visit us to find out who he is. :)

4. Following the Teacher's Orchestra Concert on Friday night, we will have
both the MASTA Ice Cream Social AND MASTA Jam Session! The ice cream will
be in the Crown Foyer - just outside the Ambassador Ballroom, where the jam
session is, so grab a bowl of ice cream and come play some tunes with us!
(Or, play some tunes and then grab the ice cream... either way works!).
This year's jam session packet has 53 tunes written in all 3 clefs, 20 of
which have not been in a MASTA Jam Session Packet before - lots of fun, new
resources for you to share with your students!

5. We have over 20 MASTA sessions at this year's conference, both by our
headliner and many of our amazing colleagues. Please come support as many
of them as you can!

Once again, I look forward to seeing many of you this weekend! Safe
travels, and see you soon!

Sincerely,
Amy Marr
