  LOUIS POTTER CELLO COMPETITION

Dear Friends,

Once again, we are preparing for our Louis Potter Cello Competition,  
which will take place at First Baptist Church of Troy in Troy, MI on  
Monday, May 3rd in honor of Mr. Louis Potter.  We feel very fortunate  
to have sponsored this competition for so many years during Mr.  
Potter’s lifetime.  In fact, many of the early competitions he  
attended, and many of his former students were winners.  Once again,  
we are looking for applicable candidates to compete in this  
competition. The contestants must be a junior or senior high school  
student who plans to major in music performance, education, or  
composition, and the prize is $500.00 applied directly towards their  
first-year tuition at a music conservatory, college, or university, as  
well as a $500.00 gift certificate to our shop.  If you have any  
students that are applicable, please pass the information along to them.

the complete guidelines and the audition application.

We look forward to hearing many talented young cellists pursuing their  
futures in music!
