Dear MASTA members,
Please share this information with your bass students.
The 6th annual Bass Bash at the University of Michigan School of Music,
Theatre & Dance will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
Bass Bash is a clinic for beginning, intermediate and advanced classical
and jazz bass students in grades 6-12 and their teachers. Students will
play in small ensembles, have a technique class, work on a massed ensemble
piece, and give a short informal performance at the end of the day. We will
also have a secondary instrument bass class for teachers who are interested
in developing their bass skills and learning about double bass pedagogy.
Our featured Bass Bash clinician is Max Dimoff, principal bassist in the
Cleveland Orchestra. Max will be teaching the U-M Double Bass Studio this
year and we are thrilled to have him at Michigan! Also on the faculty are
several other well-known bassists including Diana Gannett and Robert Hurst,
John Kennedy, Larry Hutchinson and Maggie Hasspacher.
Detailed information and registration can be found online:

Thanks,
Michael
